From Exhibition to Story: Interactive Narrative Workshop Inspired by Museum Artworks
A museum workshop format where children translate forms, colors, and stories discovered in an exhibition into digital canvases through craft and movement.

“If the leaves, waves, and figures inside the museum painting suddenly came alive and stepped into the gallery, what story would your character tell them?”
Scenario & Workshop Overview
Practiced across workshops at Istanbul Modern, Sakıp Sabancı Museum, and Arter, this story-driven format invites children to explore exhibition artworks, craft their own characters using physical materials, and transform them into digital brushes via MONNOM camera tracking to co-create a living story.
Step-by-Step Story & Workshop Flow
1. Exhibition Walk & Story Spark (10 min)
Guided by an educator, children observe selected artworks in the exhibition, discussing color layers, textures, and hidden narratives through open-ended questions.
2. Tangible Craft & Character Making (15 min)
Children craft a story element using paper, cardboard, felt, or crayons, then photograph it with MONNOM Custom Pattern Creator to turn it into their own digital brush.
3. Active Digital Staging (15 min)
Using tablets or a projection screen with camera tracking enabled, children animate their custom brushes across the canvas using hand gestures, 360° Spin, and Pulse Size.
4. Story Circle & MONNOM AI Narration (10 min)
Completed scenes are analyzed by MONNOM AI to generate spoken and written story sentences while participants share their visual narratives in a group circle.
